As the year wrapped up, the performance of air travel apps on iOS devices within the United States showed varying trends in downloads and active users. This summary, powered by data from Sensor Tower, provides a snapshot of how the top 5 air travel apps fared in the fourth quarter of 2023.

American Airlines experienced a fluctuating download pattern, starting the quarter with approximately 122K downloads and peaking mid-October at around 128K, before a dip and a rebound to roughly 122K by year's end. The weekly active users saw a slight decline from 692K to 683K over the quarter.

United Airlines downloads maintained a level just above 100K for most of the quarter, with a dip to around 87K in early December, followed by a recovery to over 108K towards the quarter's end.
